Wordless Wednesday: Healthy Living? What’s that?

You all know I like to garden.  I love raising our chickens, canning our food and making meals from scratch.  I like the keep our home chemical free, healthy eating and living is the way to go, and I’m into home remedies.

So, that said, you’ll want to revoke my healthy eating license when I show you this picture from our vacation in the Wisconsin Dells:

That would be my son eating a sugar-covered donut – a famous Paul Bunyan’s Donut – for breakfast.  In fact, it was about all he ate for breakfast – he refused the potatoes, eggs and biscuits.  And we brought home a box of those amazing donuts so we could enjoy them at home later that week.  (Don’t worry – we’ve been repenting with plenty of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots since then).

And then, there’s this:

For all of my “let’s embrace nature,” “let’s go play in the woods,” “let’s sing with the verdant forest” self, here’s a great photo of Jack, engrossed in the iPad during our camping trip.  I don’t even have an excuse like a rainy day or unexpectedly cold weather.  He just wanted to play with the iPad and I felt like lounging in our cabin.

So, there you have it.  I like to think of it as “living outside the stereotype.”  And if you knew how good Paul Bunyan Donuts are, you wouldn’t blame me one bit.
