Only me. FML.

I am five days away from my favorite race, the Lakefront Discovery Run 15k.  It is a beautiful scenic race along Milwaukee’s lakefront, and because this time of year makes for some amazing running weather, it is usually just a wonderful race.  I have been looking forward to it ever since I crossed the finish line at the race last year.

And then today happened. I thought I’d make some buffalo wings for dinner.  I found a great recipe, and when the wings were baked to perfection I pulled them out of the oven, and in the process dumped a lot of hot hot oil on the top of my sock-covered left foot.

Ow.  Redness, blisters, and lots of pain.

I don’t think I’ll be wearing a shoe by Saturday, much less running.

Any advice for making a burn heal, like, pronto?  Or any ideas for something awesome I can do Saturday to drown my sorrows on having to miss out on my favorite race?

    Neosporin. When I had that 2nd degree burn on my tummy it worked wonders. I used the cream tyoe with pain relief.
