Sunday Surf and a Busy Week in Review

I don’t normally include my own links in my Sunday Surf, but I had quite a bit going on at the end of the week on sites other than this one.

I had a piece published on Mamalode.  It is a repeat from my blog, but whether you want to read my submission or not, do check out Mamalode.  The site collects heartfelt, touching, uplifting and enlightening stories.  Me likey.

Next, one of my favorites sites, the Natural Parents Network, featured my piece on Getting your Natural Parenting Mojo Back.  It is a good read for the parent who is feeling pressured by her own high standards.

Also, do check out the Natural Parents Network this week for the Freedom from Cloth blog carnival.  I have a piece on cloth diapering which will be featured there on July 4, and you can visit the other participating blogs from there all week long.

Now that I’m done patting my own back, let’s surf:

Since I am now all about coconut oil thanks to Hybrid Rasta Mama’s frequent posts on the topic, I was pleased to find this recipe for a coconut oil/honey moisturizer.  It sounds a little messy, but I’m going to try it over this long weekend, and I’ll report my results.

I definitely bookmarked this page with links to the 40 best sites for home remedies.

Here are 21 fun ways to keep cool with the kids this summer.

Some food for thought:  The Great Sugar Detox.

We use a lot of cast iron cookware in our house, and I think every family should have a few good pieces of cast iron.  Here is a nice site with some basic information about keeping and caring for cast iron.

And because I’m just a little obsessed with yoga lately, I’ve been enjoying this site for streaming and on-demand yoga.

Enjoy your Sunday!
